WHO WE ARE

 The 1st Justice Constable has its own training division.  Our deputies attend training classes on a regular basis and all deputies must complete 20 hours of Continued Education as per Louisiana Peace Officers Standard and Training. 

 The Constable’s Office is located in the Jefferson Parish General Government Center, 200 Derbigny Street, Suite 2100, in The Historic Downtown Business District of Gretna, Louisiana. The First Justice Court’s territorial jurisdiction encompasses the City of Gretna, unincorporated Gretna and Harvey East of the Harvey Canal. It borders the Plaquemines Parish and Orleans Parish lines.Type your paragraph here. 

 In the ever changing world we live in The Constable has a diverse department. We work very close with the community that we are sworn to protect.  Constable Liberto is always finding ways to help our community and to make it more diverse.
